Who We Are
You’ll find us in Oregon City, Oregon. We are open to the public on select Saturdays, or by appointment.
We hand brush and distress all our furniture pieces, and have done so since 2001. “The Shabby Cottage” was born out of the “Shabby Chic” trend from a while back. That trend no longer defines us, but the “Cottage” part is still around. The Cottage began as a place for storage made out of reclaimed materials, old doors and windows, corrugated metal and architectural elements. It soon became more of a place for display, and so we made the decision in 2008 to open it up to the public and sell our up-cycled, restyled, handmade and found products.
We have since grown to have almost 1,000 square feet of refurbished, one-of-a-kind furniture to browse!
All of this could not be possible without the constant support of our wonderful community and loyal customers. We are so grateful to be a destination for all, near and far.
The Cottage is ever changing. We freshen things up, bring in new creations, and find items for a unique shopping experience every time we open. We strive to stay ahead of the trends with a variety of furniture pieces on hand at all times. There’s one-of-a-kind dressers, hutches, buffets, side tables, bookcases, and lots more! You’re sure to find somethin’ you’ll love.
